Actually the race happens regardless of wait_for_completion_timeout() exit status, e.g. the waiting side may hit a timeout and the concurrent completing side is still able to free the skb. Skbs which are sent by rtw89_core_tx_kick_off_and_wait() are owned by the driver. They don't come from core ieee80211 stack so no need to pass them to ieee80211_tx_status_ni() on completing side. Introduce a work function which will act as a garbage collector for rtw89_tx_wait_info objects and the associated skbs. Thus no potentially heavy locks are required on the completing side. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org). Simply waiting with wait_for_completion() may become a bottleneck if for any reason the completion is delayed significantly, and we are holding a wiphy lock here. I _suspect_ rtw89_pci_tx_status() should be called either by napi polling handler or in other cases e.g. by rtw89_hci_reset() but it's hard to deduce for any possible scenario that it will be called in some time. Anyway, the current and the next patch try to make sure that when rtw89_core_tx_wait_complete() is called, skbdata->wait is properly initialized so that there should be no buggy situations when tx_wait skb is not recognized and invalidly passed to ieee80211 stack, also without signaling a completion. [REGRESSION][BISECTED][PATCH] net: ipv4: fix regression in broadcast routes

Fix the regression introduced in 9e30ecf23b1b whereby IPv4 broadcast packets were having their ethernet destination field mangled. This broke WOL magic packets and likely other IPv4 broadcast. The regression can be observed by sending an IPv4 WOL packet using the wakeonlan program to any ethernet address: wakeonlan 46:3b:ad:61:e0:5d and capturing the packet with tcpdump: tcpdump -i eth0 -w /tmp/bad.cap dst port 9 The ethernet destination MUST be ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff for broadcast, but is mangled with 9e30ecf23b1b applied. Revert the change made in 9e30ecf23b1b and ensure the MTU value for broadcast routes is retained by calling ip_dst_init_metrics() directly, avoiding the need to enter the main code block in rt_set_nexthop(). Simplify the code path taken for broadcast packets back to the original before the regression, adding only the call to ip_dst_init_metrics(). The broadcast_pmtu.sh selftest provided with the original patch still passes with this patch applied. [PATCH 1/2] mm/slub: Fix cmp_loc_by_count() to return 0 when counts are equal

The comparison function cmp_loc_by_count() used for sorting stack trace locations in debugfs currently returns -1 if a->count > b->count and 1 otherwise. This breaks the antisymmetry property required by sort(), because when two counts are equal, both cmp(a, b) and cmp(b, a) return 1. This can lead to undefined or incorrect ordering results. Fix it by explicitly returning 0 when the counts are equal, ensuring that the comparison function follows the expected mathematical properties. [PATCH v3 1/1] iommu/sva: Invalidate KVA range on kernel TLB flush

In the IOMMU Shared Virtual Addressing (SVA) context, the IOMMU hardware shares and walks the CPU's page tables. The Linux x86 architecture maps the kernel address space into the upper portion of every process’s page table. Consequently, in an SVA context, the IOMMU hardware can walk and cache kernel space mappings. However, the Linux kernel currently lacks a notification mechanism for kernel space mapping changes. This means the IOMMU driver is not aware of such changes, leading to a break in IOMMU cache coherence. Modern IOMMUs often cache page table entries of the intermediate-level page table as long as the entry is valid, no matter the permissions, to optimize walk performance. Currently the iommu driver is notified only for changes of user VA mappings, so the IOMMU's internal caches may retain stale entries for kernel VA. When kernel page table mappings are changed (e.g., by vfree()), but the IOMMU's internal caches retain stale entries, Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability condition arises. If these freed page table pages are reallocated for a different purpose, potentially by an attacker, the IOMMU could misinterpret the new data as valid page table entries. This allows the IOMMU to walk into attacker- controlled memory, leading to arbitrary physical memory DMA access or privilege escalation. To mitigate this, introduce a new iommu interface to flush IOMMU caches. This interface should be invoked from architecture-specific code that manages combined user and kernel page tables, whenever a kernel page table update is done and the CPU TLB needs to be flushed. [PATCH 5.4.y] Revert "drm/dp: Change AUX DPCD probe address from DPCD_REV to LANE0_1_STATUS"

This reverts commit 2402adce8da4e7396b63b5ffa71e1fa16e5fe5c4. The upstream commit a40c5d727b8111b5db424a1e43e14a1dcce1e77f ("drm/dp: Change AUX DPCD probe address from DPCD_REV to LANE0_1_STATUS") the reverted commit backported causes a regression, on one eDP panel at least resulting in display flickering, described in detail at the Link: below. The issue fixed by the upstream commit will need a different solution, revert the backport for now.
