[PATCH v2] Revert "arm64: dts: lx2160a: add pinmux and i2c gpio to support bus recovery"

This reverts commit 8a1365c7bbc122bd843096f0008d259e7a8afc61. The commit in questions most notably breaks SD-Card on SolidRun LX2162A Clearfog by corrupting the pinmux in dynamic configuration area for non-i2c pins without pinmux node. It is further expected that it breaks SD Card-Detect, as well as CAN, DSPI and GPIOs on any board based on LX2160 SoC. Background: The LX2160 SoC is configured at power-on from RCW (Reset Configuration Word) typically located in the first 4k of boot media. This blob configures various clock rates and pin functions. The pinmux for i2c specifically is part of configuration words RCWSR12, RCWSR13 and RCWSR14 size 32 bit each. These values are accessible at read-only addresses 0x01e0012c following. For runtime (re-)configuration the SoC has a dynamic configuration area where alternative settings can be applied. The counterparts of RCWSR[12-14] can be overridden at 0x70010012c following. The commit in question used this area to switch i2c pins between i2c and gpio function at runtime using the pinctrl-single driver - which reads a 32-bit value, makes particular changes by bitmask and writes back the new value. SolidRun have observed that if the dynamic configuration is read first (before a write), it reads as zero regardless the initial values set by RCW. After the first write consecutive reads reflect the written value. Because multiple pins are configured from a single 32-bit value, this causes unintentional change of all bits (except those for i2c) being set to zero when the pinctrl driver applies the first configuration. This issue should affect any board based on LX2160 SoC that is using the same or earlier versions of NXP bootloader as SolidRun have tested, in particular: LSDK-21.08 and LS-5.15.71-2.2.0. Whether NXP added some extra initialisation in the bootloader on later releases was not investigated. However bootloader upgrade should not be necessary to run a newer Linux kernel. To work around this issue it is possible to explicitly define ALL pins controlled by any 32-bit value so that gradually after processing all pinctrl nodes the correct value is reached on all bits. This is a large task that should be done carefully on a per-board basis and not globally through the SoC dtsi. Therefore the commit in question is reverted. [PATCH] power: supply: bq27xxx: fix error return in case of no bq27000 hdq battery

Since commit commit f16d9fb6cf03 ("power: supply: bq27xxx: Retrieve again when busy") the console log of some devices with hdq but no bq27000 battery (like the Pandaboard) is flooded with messages like: [ 34.247833] power_supply bq27000-battery: driver failed to report 'status' property: -1 as soon as user-space is finding a /sys entry and trying to read the "status" property. It turns out that the offending commit changes the logic to now return the value of cache.flags if it is <0. This is likely under the assumption that it is an error number. In normal errors from bq27xxx_read() this is indeed the case. But there is special code to detect if no bq27000 is installed or accessible through hdq/1wire and wants to report this. In that case, the cache.flags are set (historically) to constant -1 which did make reading properties return -ENODEV. So everything appeared to be fine before the return value was fixed. Now the -1 is returned as -ENOPERM instead of -ENODEV, triggering the error condition in power_supply_format_property() which then floods the console log. So we change the detection of missing bq27000 battery to simply set cache.flags = -ENODEV instead of -1. From: Sumit Kumar <sumk(a)qti.qualcomm.com> The current implementation of mhi_ep_read_channel, in case of chained transactions, assumes the End of Transfer(EOT) bit is received with the doorbell. As a result, it may incorrectly advance mhi_chan->rd_offset beyond wr_offset during host-to-device transfers when EOT has not yet arrived. This can lead to access of unmapped host memory, causing IOMMU faults and processing of stale TREs. This change modifies the loop condition to ensure rd_offset remains behind wr_offset, allowing the function to process only valid TREs up to the current write pointer. This prevents premature reads and ensures safe traversal of chained TREs. [PATCH v2 1/3] PCI: Relaxed tail alignment should never increase min_align

When using relaxed tail alignment for the bridge window, pbus_size_mem() also tries to minimize min_align, which can under certain scenarios end up increasing min_align from that found by calculate_mem_align(). Ensure min_align is not increased by the relaxed tail alignment. Eventually, it would be better to add calculate_relaxed_head_align() similar to calculate_mem_align() which finds out what alignment can be used for the head without introducing any gaps into the bridge window to give flexibility on head address too. But that looks relatively complex algorithm so it requires much more testing than fixing the immediate problem causing a regression. [PATCH v2 3/3] PCI: Fix failure detection during resource resize

Since the commit 96336ec70264 ("PCI: Perform reset_resource() and build fail list in sync") the failed list is always built and returned to let the caller decide what to do with the failures. The caller may want to retry resource fitting and assignment and before that can happen, the resources should be restored to their original state (a reset effectively clears the struct resource), which requires returning them on the failed list so that the original state remains stored in the associated struct pci_dev_resource. Resource resizing is different from the ordinary resource fitting and assignment in that it only considers part of the resources. This means failures for other resource types are not relevant at all and should be ignored. As resize doesn't unassign such unrelated resources, those resource ending up into the failed list implies assignment of that resource must have failed before resize too. The check in pci_reassign_bridge_resources() to decide if the whole assignment is successful, however, is based on list emptiness which will cause false negatives when the failed list has resources with an unrelated type. If the failed list is not empty, call pci_required_resource_failed() and extend it to be able to filter on specific resource types too (if provided). Calling pci_required_resource_failed() at this point is slightly problematic because the resource itself is reset when the failed list is constructed in __assign_resources_sorted(). As a result, pci_resource_is_optional() does not have access to the original resource flags. This could be worked around by restoring and re-reseting the resource around the call to pci_resource_is_optional(), however, it shouldn't cause issue as resource resizing is meant for 64-bit prefetchable resources according to Christian König (see the Link which unfortunately doesn't point directly to Christian's reply because lore didn't store that email at all).
