[PATCH] usb: dwc3: Runtime get and put usb power_supply handle

It is possible that the usb power_supply is registered after the probe of dwc3. In this case, trying to get the usb power_supply during the probe will fail and there is no chance to try again. Also the usb power_supply might be unregistered at anytime so that the handle of it in dwc3 would become invalid. To fix this, get the handle right before calling to power_supply functions and put it afterward. [PATCH v2 1/8] serial: qcom-geni: fix fifo polling timeout

The qcom_geni_serial_poll_bit() can be used to wait for events like command completion and is supposed to wait for the time it takes to clear a full fifo before timing out. As noted by Doug, the current implementation does not account for start, stop and parity bits when determining the timeout. The helper also does not currently account for the shift register and the two-word intermediate transfer register. A too short timeout can specifically lead to lost characters when waiting for a transfer to complete as the transfer is cancelled on timeout. Instead of determining the poll timeout on every call, store the fifo timeout when updating it in set_termios() and make sure to take the shift and intermediate registers into account. Note that serial core has already added a 20 ms margin to the fifo timeout. Also note that the current uart_fifo_timeout() interface does unnecessary calculations on every call and did not exist in earlier kernels so only store its result once. This facilitates backports too as earlier kernels can derive the timeout from uport->timeout, which has since been removed. [PATCH hotfix 6.11 v2 3/3] minmax: reduce min/max macro expansion in atomisp driver

Avoid unnecessary nested min()/max() which results in egregious macro expansion. Use clamp_t() as this introduces the least possible expansion. Not doing so results in an impact on build times. This resolves an issue with slackware 15.0 32-bit compilation as reported by Richard Narron. Presumably the min/max fixups would be difficult to backport, this patch should be easier and fix's Richard's problem in 5.15. [PATCH hotfix 6.11] minmax: reduce egregious min/max macro expansion

Avoid nested min()/max() which results in egregious macro expansion. This issue was introduced by commit 867046cc7027 ("minmax: relax check to allow comparison between unsigned arguments and signed constants") [2]. Work has been done to address the issue of egregious min()/max() macro expansion in commit 22f546873149 ("minmax: improve macro expansion and type checking") and related, however it appears that some issues remain on more tightly constrained systems. Adjust a few known-bad cases of deeply nested macros to avoid doing so to mitigate this. Porting the patch first proposed in [1] to Linus's tree. Running an allmodconfig build using the methodology described in [2] we observe a 35 MiB reduction in generated code. The difference is much more significant prior to recent minmax fixes which were not backported. As per [1] prior these the reduction is more like 200 MiB. [PATCH v2] ice: Fix improper handling of refcount in ice_dpll_init_rclk_pins()

This patch addresses a reference count handling issue in the ice_dpll_init_rclk_pins() function. The function calls ice_dpll_get_pins(), which increments the reference count of the relevant resources. However, if the condition WARN_ON((!vsi || !vsi->netdev)) is met, the function currently returns an error without properly releasing the resources acquired by ice_dpll_get_pins(), leading to a reference count leak. To resolve this, the check has been moved to the top of the function. This ensures that the function verifies the state before any resources are acquired, avoiding the need for additional resource management in the error path. This bug was identified by an experimental static analysis tool developed by our team. The tool specializes in analyzing reference count operations and detecting potential issues where resources are not properly managed. In this case, the tool flagged the missing release operation as a potential problem, which led to the development of this patch.
