From: Jonathan Currier <dullfire(a)yahoo.com> Commit 7d5ec3d36123 ("PCI/MSI: Mask all unused MSI-X entries") introduces a readl() from ENTRY_VECTOR_CTRL before the writel() to ENTRY_DATA. This is correct, however some hardware, like the Sun Neptune chips, the niu module, will cause an error and/or fatal trap if any MSIX table entry is read before the corresponding ENTRY_DATA field is written to. This patch adds an optional early writel() in msix_prepare_msi_desc(). A user-visible consequence has now appeared: user space can no longer pin more than 2GB of memory anymore on x86_64. That's because, on a 4KB PAGE_SIZE system, when user space tries to (indirectly, via a device driver that calls pin_user_pages()) pin 2GB, this requires an allocation of a folio pointers array of MAX_PAGE_ORDER size, which is the limit for kmalloc(). In addition to the directly visible effect described above, there is also the problem of adding an unnecessary allocation. The **pages array argument has already been allocated, and there is no need for a redundant **folios array allocation in this case. Fix this by avoiding the new allocation entirely. This is done by referring to either the original page[i] within **pages, or to the associated folio. mmc: core: add devm_mmc_alloc_host (5.10.y)

Hi Sasha, The 5.10.y kernel backported commit 80df83c2c57e ("mmc: core: add devm_mmc_alloc_host") but not the fix for it. 71d04535e853 ("mmc: core: fix return value check in devm_mmc_alloc_host()") The 6.6.y kernel was released with both commits so it's not affected and none of the other stable trees include the buggy commit so they're not affected either.
