This issue dates back to the original driver (and a follow-on update) merged in 2002, which resulted in a non-standard implementation of TIOCMSET that allowed controlling also the TS07.10 IC and DV signals by mapping them to the RI and DCD input flags, while TIOCMGET failed to return the actual state of DTR and RTS. Note that the bogus control of input signals in tiocmset() is just dead code as those flags will have been masked out by the tty layer since 2003. [PATCH 00/22] mm/damon/tests: fix memory bugs in kunit tests

DAMON kunit tests were initially written assuming those will be run on environments that are well controlled and therefore tolerant to transient test failures and bugs in the test code itself. The user-mode linux based manual run of the tests is one example of such an environment. And the test code was written for adding more test coverage as fast as possible, over making those safe and reliable. As a result, the tests resulted in having a number of bugs including real memory leaks, theoretical unhandled memory allocation failures, and unused memory allocations. The allocation failures that are not handled well are unlikely in the real world, since those allocations are too small to fail. But in theory, it can happen and cause inappropriate memory access. It is arguable if bugs in test code can really harm users. But, anyway bugs are bugs that need to be fixed. Fix the bugs one by one. Also Cc stable@ for the fixes of memory leak and unhandled memory allocation failures. The unused memory allocations are only a matter of memory efficiency, so not Cc-ing stable@. The first patch fixes memory leaks in the test code for the DAMON core layer. Following fifteen, three, and one patches respectively fix unhandled memory allocation failures in the test code for DAMON core layer, virtual address space DAMON operation set, and DAMON sysfs interface, one by one per test function. Final two patches remove memory allocations that are correctly deallocated at the end, but not really being used by any code. [PATCH] tools/testing/nvdimm: Stop read past end of global handle array

[] BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in nfit_test_ctl+0x769f/0x7840 [nfit_test] [] Read of size 4 at addr ffffffffc03ea01c by task ndctl/1215 [] The buggy address belongs to the variable: [] handle+0x1c/0x1df4 [nfit_test] The nfit_test mock platform defines a static table of 7 NFIT DIMM handles, but nfit_test.0 builds 8 mock DIMMs total (5 DCR + 3 PM). When the final DIMM (id == 7) is selected, this code: spa->devices[0].nfit_device_handle = handle[nvdimm->id]; indexes past the end of the 7-entry table, triggering KASAN. Fix this by adding an eighth entry to the handle[] table and a defensive bounds check so the test fails cleanly instead of dereferencing out-of-bounds memory. To generate a unique handle, the new entry sets the 'imc' field rather than the 'chan' field. This matches the pattern of earlier entries and avoids introducing a non-zero 'chan' which is never used in the table. Computing the new handle shows no collision. Notes from spelunkering for a Fixes Tag: Commit 209851649dc4 ("acpi: nfit: Add support for hot-add") increased the mock DIMMs to eight yet kept the handle[] array at seven. Commit 10246dc84dfc ("acpi nfit: nfit_test supports translate SPA") began using the last mock DIMM, triggering the KASAN. Commit af31b04b67f4 ("tools/testing/nvdimm: Fix the array size for dimm devices.") addressed a related KASAN warning but not the actual handle array length. [PATCH] arm64: dts: rockchip: include rk3399-base instead of rk3399 in rk3399-op1

From: Quentin Schulz <quentin.schulz(a)cherry.de> In commit 296602b8e5f7 ("arm64: dts: rockchip: Move RK3399 OPPs to dtsi files for SoC variants"), everything shared between variants of RK3399 was put into rk3399-base.dtsi and the rest in variant-specific DTSI, such as rk3399-t, rk3399-op1, rk3399, etc. Therefore, the variant-specific DTSI should include rk3399-base.dtsi and not another variant's DTSI. rk3399-op1 wrongly includes rk3399 (a variant) DTSI instead of rk3399-base DTSI, let's fix this oversight by including the intended DTSI. Fortunately, this had no impact on the resulting DTB since all nodes were named the same and all node properties were overridden in rk3399-op1.dtsi. This was checked by doing a checksum of rk3399-op1 DTBs before and after this commit. No intended change in behavior. Page 13 of the PineTab2 v2 schematic dd 20230417 shows VCCIO4's power source is VCCIO_WL. Page 19 shows that VCCIO_WL is connected to VCCA1V8_PMU, so fix the PineTab2 dtsi to reflect that. If two tasks cause a fault in the same page concurrently, both could end up allocating a folio and removing the page from the direct map, but only one would succeed in adding the folio to the file mapping. The task that failed undoes the effects of its attempt by (a) freeing the folio again and (b) putting the page back into the direct map. However, by doing these two operations in this order, the page becomes available to the allocator again before it is placed back in the direct mapping. If another task attempts to allocate the page between (a) and (b), and the kernel tries to access it via the direct map, it would result in a supervisor not-present page fault. Fix the ordering to restore the direct map before the folio is freed.
