[PATCH v3 0/2] printf: convert self-test to KUnit

[PATCH 1/2] misc: pci_endpoint_test: Give disabled BARs a distinct error code

The current code returns -ENOMEM if test->bar[barno] is NULL. There can be two reasons why test->bar[barno] is NULL: 1) The pci_ioremap_bar() call in pci_endpoint_test_probe() failed. 2) The BAR was skipped, because it is disabled by the endpoint. Many PCI endpoint controller drivers will disable all BARs in their init function. A disabled BAR will have a size of 0. A PCI endpoint function driver will be able to enable any BAR that is not marked as BAR_RESERVED (which means that the BAR should not be touched by the EPF driver). Thus, perform check if the size is 0, before checking if test->bar[barno] is NULL, such that we can return different errors. [PATCH net-next v2 3/5] selftests: forwarding: lib: Move require_command to net, generalize

This helper could be useful to more than just forwarding tests. Move it upstairs and port over to log_test_skip(). Split the function into two parts: the bit that actually checks and reports skip, which is in a new function check_command(). And a bit that exits the test script if the check fails. This allows users consistent checking behavior while giving an option to bail out from a single test without bailing out of the whole script. [PATCH net-next v19 00/26] Introducing OpenVPN Data Channel Offload

All minor and major reported problems have been finally addressed. Big thanks to Sabrina, who took the time to guide me through converting the peer socket to an RCU pointer. This patchset comes with an extra patch for .mailmap to remove my @openvpn.net address from the file, otherwise git won't allow me to send patches from this address. Notable changes since v18: * ovpnstruct.h renamed to ovpnpriv.h to reflect new struct name * removed peers release upon NETDEV_DOWN * moved netdev_put() to after call_rcu() in ovpn_peer_release() * removed DEBUG_NET_WARN_ON_ONCE in case of mismatching peer in peer_del_p2p() * turned peer->sock into RCU pointer to be able to guarantee its validity in every context (thanks Sabrina for this!) ** the point above forced various socket handling functions to change into using a properly dereferenced RCU pointer instead of accessing peer->sock directly * ensured peer->sock is NULLified upon release so that other contexts have a way to check if the member carries a valid pointer or not * fixed ovpn_opcode_from_skb()'s comment about accessing 4 bytes (not 1) * improved ovpn_udp_encap_recv()'s comment wrt various packet types * ensured that 'iv' in ovpn_aead_crypt/decrypt() is malloc'd and carried in the skb's cb for async crypto usage * added missing ovpn_crypto_key_slot_put() in ovpn_encrypt_one() error path * TCP TX work item moved from ovpn_peer to ovpn_socket to ensure it stays alive along with the socket (peer may disappear earlier during release) * pulled 4 bytes (instead of 1) before calling ovpn_opcode_from_skb() in ovpn_tcp_rcv() * added missing kfree_skb() in ovpn_tcp_socket_detach() * moved call to ovpn_mp_alloc() to ndo_init() to ensure it could always be rolled back in case of register_netdevice() failure * splitted by_vpn_addr hashtables into by_vpn_addr4 and by_vpn_addr6 so that peers assigned a v4 or a v6 can be hashed separately. These patches have retained the tags as they have hardly been touched. The latest code can also be found at: https://github.com/OpenVPN/linux-kernel-ovpn NOTE: TCP tests are still showing the following warning while running iperf. I have analysed the report several times, but it definitely looks like a false positive to me, so nothing to worry about. Basically the lockdep engine gets confused thinking that we are acquiring the lock twice on the same sock, but actually: 1) the kernel is first locking the 'iperf' (user) TCP socket; 2) ovpn is later locking the underlying TCP trasport socket. So there is NO risk of deadlock (and indeed nothing hangs), but I couldn't find a way to make the warning go away. [PATCH v2 00/15] riscv: add SBI FWFT misaligned exception delegation support

The SBI Firmware Feature extension allows the S-mode to request some specific features (either hardware or software) to be enabled. This series uses this extension to request misaligned access exception delegation to S-mode in order to let the kernel handle it. It also adds support for the KVM FWFT SBI extension based on the misaligned access handling infrastructure. FWFT SBI extension is part of the SBI V3.0 specifications [1]. It can be tested using the qemu provided at [2] which contains the series from [3]. kvm-unit-tests [4] can be used inside kvm to tests the correct delegation of misaligned exceptions. Upstream OpenSBI can be used. [PATCH net-next v9 00/11] net: Improve netns handling in rtnetlink

This patch series includes some netns-related improvements and fixes for rtnetlink, to make link creation more intuitive: 1) Creating link in another net namespace doesn't conflict with link names in current one. 2) Refector rtnetlink link creation. Create link in target namespace directly. So that # ip link add netns ns1 link-netns ns2 tun0 type gre ... will create tun0 in ns1, rather than create it in ns2 and move to ns1. And don't conflict with another interface named "tun0" in current netns. Patch 01 avoids link name conflict in different netns. To achieve 2), there're mainly 3 steps: - Patch 02 packs newlink() parameters into a struct, including the original "src_net" along with more netns context. No semantic changes are introduced. - Patch 03 ~ 07 converts device drivers to use the explicit netns extracted from params. - Patch 08 ~ 09 removes the old netns parameter, and converts rtnetlink to create device in target netns directly. Patch 10 ~ 11 adds some tests for link name and link netns. BTW please note there're some issues found in current code: - In amt_newlink() drivers/net/amt.c: amt->net = net; ... amt->stream_dev = dev_get_by_index(net, ... Uses net, but amt_lookup_upper_dev() only searches in dev_net. So the AMT device may not be properly deleted if it's in a different netns from lower dev. - In lowpan_newlink() in net/ieee802154/6lowpan/core.c: wdev = dev_get_by_index(dev_net(ldev), nla_get_u32(tb[IFLA_LINK])); Looks for IFLA_LINK in dev_net, but in theory the ifindex is defined in link netns.
