The regression in 0688_0041 is expected and documented in https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/124019. Codegen for that test was already broken before my patch, we just got luckier with undefined behavior before my changes.
The regression in 0688_0041 should go away after https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/125307.
