While this (6dfbe29f) patch is still in bluetooth-next, I think once it's merged it should go into the stable tree. Keep in mind that I'm not the author.
I just saw the reports of people complaining, and noticed that the Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org line was missing from the submission.
Something to keep in mind as an interested party before I forget. Users will appreciate it if the one-liner lands sooner on distros, hopefully someone will remember to do it. Sorry for the unorthodox/super early ping. :)

Please let us know when it lands in Linus's tree, we can't do anything for a stable release until that happens.
