This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
dt-bindings: iio: adc: Remove the property "aspeed,trim-data-valid"
to my char-misc git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/char-misc.git in the char-misc-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.
From 398e3479874f381cca8726ca5d8a31e1bf35a3cd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Billy Tsai billy_tsai@aspeedtech.com Date: Mon, 14 Nov 2022 10:50:57 +0800 Subject: dt-bindings: iio: adc: Remove the property "aspeed,trim-data-valid"
If the property is set on a device without valid trimming data in the OTP the ADC will not function correctly. Therefore, this patch drops the use of this property to avoid this scenario.
