Hi,
Can following commit be included in stable kernel releases starting from v4.11?
d9018976cdb6eefc62a7ba79a405f6c9661b08a7 ("mfd: lpc_ich: Do not touch SPI-NOR write protection bit on Haswell/Broadwell")
This makes sure older kernels will not accidentally lose the BIOS settings.
Thanks!

I would like to, but it fails to apply to the 4.9, 4.4, or even 3.18 stable trees :(
Can you provide a working backport for the trees you think it is needed on?
thanks,

Hmm, looks like it is only needed for v4.13 stable (in case it gets yet another update, seems that v4.13 stable is EOL'ed). It should apply as is.

4.13 is end-of-life, sorry.
