Hi Greg,
I have backported Spectre-v2 fixes and patches for the Speculative Store Bypass vulnerability to 4.4.y (they apply cleanly on top of 4.4.136). I would appreciate if you could kindly consider them for review and inclusion in a future 4.4.y release.
Thank you very much!

First off, I can't take git trees from random hosting sites, like github, sorry. And secondly, you always need to use a signed tag, I can't trust one otherwise.
How much testing and verification did you all do with these patches? Who reviewed them?
And finally, this week is the middle of the merge window so I am busy with that, and then I have 2 weeks of conferences in Asia, so it will be a while before I can get to these patches, even if they were with a signed tag :)
thanks,
