Hi Greg,
upstream commit 1572e45a924f ("perf/core: Fix the perf_cpu_time_max_percent check") fixes CVE-2017-18255. Please apply to v4.9.y and older.
The patch applies cleanly to v4.9.y and v4.4.y; I didn't check older kernels. More recent kernels are not affected.
