from datasheet of dp83869hm
7.3.6 Interrupt
The DP83869HM can be configured to generate an interrupt when changes of internal status occur. The interrupt
allows a MAC to act upon the status in the PHY without polling the PHY registers. The interrupt source can be
selected through the interrupt registers, MICR (12h) and FIBER_INT_EN (C18h). The interrupt status can be
read from ISR (13h) and FIBER_INT_STTS (C19h) registers. Some interrupts are enabled by default and can
be disabled through register access. Both the interrupt status registers must be read in order to clear pending
interrupts. Until the pending interrupts are cleared, new interrupts may not be routed to the interrupt pin.
Fixes: interrupts issue when using with an optical fiber sfp.

In the page to order 0 folio conversion series, the commit
7e119cff9d0a, "ocfs2: convert w_pages to w_folios" and
commit 9a5e08652dc4b, "ocfs2: use an array of folios
instead of an array of pages", saves -ENOMEM in the
folio array upon allocation failure and calls the folio
array free code. The folio array free code expects either
valid folio pointers or NULL. Finding the -ENOMEM will
result in a panic. Fix by NULLing the error folio entry.

Due to a problem in the iTBT DP-in adapter's firmware the sink on a TBT
link may get disconnected inadvertently if the SINK_COUNT_ESI and the
DP_LINK_SERVICE_IRQ_VECTOR_ESI0 registers are read in a single AUX
transaction. Work around the issue by reading these registers in
separate transactions.
The issue affects MTL+ platforms and will be fixed in the DP-in adapter
firmware, however releasing that firmware fix may take some time and is
not guaranteed to be available for all systems. Based on this apply the
workaround on affected platforms.
See HSD #13013007775.

Subject: [PATCH] dmaengine: mediatek: Fix a possible deadlock error in
mtk_cqdma_tx_status()
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
Fix a potential deadlock bug. Observe that in the mtk-cqdma.c
file, functions like mtk_cqdma_issue_pending() and
mtk_cqdma_free_active_desc() properly acquire the pc lock before the vc
lock when handling pc and vc fields. However, mtk_cqdma_tx_status()
violates this order by first acquiring the vc lock before invoking
mtk_cqdma_find_active_desc(), which subsequently takes the pc lock. This
reversed locking sequence (vc → pc) contradicts the established
pc → vc order and creates deadlock risks.
Fix the issue by moving the vc lock acquisition code from
mtk_cqdma_find_active_desc() to mtk_cqdma_tx_status(). Ensure the pc lock
is acquired before the vc lock in the calling function to maintain correct
locking hierarchy. Note that since mtk_cqdma_find_active_desc() is a
static function with only one caller (mtk_cqdma_tx_status()), this
modification safely eliminates the deadlock possibility without affecting
other components.
This possible bug is found by an experimental static analysis tool
developed by our team. This tool analyzes the locking APIs to extract
function pairs that can be concurrently executed, and then analyzes the
instructions in the paired functions to identify possible concurrency bugs
including deadlocks, data races and atomicity violations.
