The first time will fail with -EAGAIN, and the second time it will succeed. This requires register_ftrace_direct() to unregister the address on the first attempt. Otherwise, the bpf trampoline cannot attach. It checks whether LBRV enablement needs to be changed in the current VMCB, and if it does, it also recalculate intercepts to LBR MSRs. However, there are cases where intercepts need to be updated even when LBRV enablement doesn't. Example scenario: - L1 has MSR_IA32_DEBUGCTLMSR cleared. - L1 runs L2 without LBR_CTL_ENABLE (no LBRV). - L2 sets DEBUGCTLMSR_LBR in MSR_IA32_DEBUGCTLMSR, svm_update_lbrv() sets LBR_CTL_ENABLE in VMCB02 and disables intercepts to LBR MSRs. - L2 exits to L1, svm_update_lbrv() is not called on this transition. - L1 clears MSR_IA32_DEBUGCTLMSR, svm_update_lbrv() finds that LBR_CTL_ENABLE is already cleared in VMCB01 and does nothing. - Intercepts remain disabled, L1 reads to LBR MSRs read the host MSRs. The packet sizes are limited by some factors such as wMaxPacketSize USB descriptor. OTOH, in the current code, the actually used packet sizes are determined only by the rate and the PPS, which may be bigger than the size limit above. This results in a buffer overflow, as reported by syzbot. Basically when the limit is smaller than the calculated packet size, it implies that something is wrong, most likely a weird USB descriptor. So the best option would be just to return an error at the parameter setup time before doing any further operations. This patch introduces such a sanity check, and returns -EINVAL when the packet size is greater than maxpacksize. The comparison with ep->packsize[1] alone should suffice since it's always equal or greater than ep->packsize[0]. [PATCH v4 04/22] reset: rzv2h-usb2phy: Keep PHY clock enabled for entire device lifetime

The driver was disabling the USB2 PHY clock immediately after register initialization in probe() and after each reset operation. This left the PHY unclocked even though it must remain active for USB functionality. The behavior appeared to work only when another driver (e.g., USB controller) had already enabled the clock, making operation unreliable and hardware-dependent. In configurations where this driver is the sole clock user, USB functionality would fail. Fix this by: - Enabling the clock once in probe() via pm_runtime_resume_and_get() - Removing all pm_runtime_put() calls from assert/deassert/status - Registering a devm cleanup action to release the clock at removal - Removed rzv2h_usbphy_assert_helper() and its call in rzv2h_usb2phy_reset_probe() This ensures the PHY clock remains enabled for the entire device lifetime, preventing instability and aligning with hardware requirements. [PATCH] platform/x86: intel: chtwc_int33fe: don't dereference swnode args

Commit d7cdbbc93c56 ("software node: allow referencing firmware nodes") changed the name of the software node member and caused a build failure. Remove all direct dereferences of the ref struct as a fix. However, this driver also seems to abuse the software node interface by waiting for a node with an arbitrary name "intel-xhci-usb-sw" to appear in the system before setting up the reference for the I2C device, while the actual software node already exists in the intel-xhci-usb-role-switch module and should be used to set up a static reference. Add a FIXME for a future improvement. [PATCH v2] USB: ohci-nxp: Fix error handling in ohci-hcd-nxp driver

When obtaining the ISP1301 I2C client through the device tree, the driver does not release the device reference in the probe failure path or in the remove function. This could cause a reference count leak, which may prevent the device from being properly unbound or freed, leading to resource leakage. Fix this by storing whether the client was obtained via device tree and only releasing the reference in that case. Found by code review.
