Use flexible arrays instead of zero-element arrays (which look like they are always overflowing) and split the cross-field memcpy() into two halves that can be appropriately bounds-checked by the compiler. [PATCH V2] mm/slab: ensure all metadata in slab object are word-aligned

When the SLAB_STORE_USER debug flag is used, any metadata placed after the original kmalloc request size (orig_size) is not properly aligned on 64-bit architectures because its type is unsigned int. When both KASAN and SLAB_STORE_USER are enabled, kasan_alloc_meta is misaligned. Note that 64-bit architectures without HAVE_EFFICIENT_UNALIGNED_ACCESS are assumed to require 64-bit accesses to be 64-bit aligned. See HAVE_64BIT_ALIGNED_ACCESS and commit adab66b71abf ("Revert: "ring-buffer: Remove HAVE_64BIT_ALIGNED_ACCESS"") for more details. Because not all architectures support unaligned memory accesses, ensure that all metadata (track, orig_size, kasan_{alloc,free}_meta) in a slab object are word-aligned. struct track, kasan_{alloc,free}_meta are aligned by adding __aligned(__alignof__(unsigned long)). For orig_size, use ALIGN(sizeof(unsigned int), sizeof(unsigned long)) to make clear that its size remains unsigned int but it must be aligned to a word boundary. On 64-bit architectures, this reserves 8 bytes for orig_size, which is acceptable since kmalloc's original request size tracking is intended for debugging rather than production use. PROBLEM: hwclock busted w/ M48T59 RTC (regression)

[PATCH v4] dmaengine: fsl-edma: Fix clk leak on alloc_chan_resources failure

When fsl_edma_alloc_chan_resources() fails after clk_prepare_enable(), the error paths only free IRQs and destroy the TCD pool, but forget to call clk_disable_unprepare(). This causes the channel clock to remain enabled, leaking power and resources. Fix it by disabling the channel clock in the error unwind path. Bug: Performance regression in 1013af4f585f: mm/hugetlb: fix huge_pmd_unshare() vs GUP-fast race

Hello. We have observed a huge latency increase using `fork()` after ingesting the CVE-2025-38085 fix which leads to the commit `1013af4f585f: mm/hugetlb: fix huge_pmd_unshare() vs GUP-fast race`. On large machines with 1.5TB of memory with 196 cores, we identified mmapping of 1.2TB of shared memory and forking itself dozens or hundreds of times we see a increase of execution times of a factor of 4. The reproducer is at the end of the email. Comparing the a kernel without this patch with a kernel with this patch applied when spawning 1000 children we see those execution times: Patched kernel: $ time make stress ... real 0m11.275s user 0m0.177s sys 0m23.905s Original kernel : $ time make stress ...real 0m2.475s user 0m1.398s sys 0m2.501s The patch in question: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… My observation/assumption is: each child touches 100 random pages and despawns on each despawn `huge_pmd_unshare()` is called each call to `huge_pmd_unshare()` syncrhonizes all threads using `tlb_remove_table_sync_one()` leading to the regression I'm happy to provide more information. [PATCH 6.1] softirq: Add trace points for tasklet entry/exit

Tasklets are supposed to finish their work quickly and should not block the current running process, but it is not guaranteed that they do so. Currently softirq_entry/exit can be used to analyse the total tasklets execution time, but that's not helpful to track individual tasklets execution time. That makes it hard to identify tasklet functions, which take more time than expected. Add tasklet_entry/exit trace point support to track individual tasklet execution. [PATCH stable 5.10] sched/deadline: only set free_cpus for online runqueues

From: Doug Berger <opendmb(a)gmail.com> [ Upstream commit 382748c05e58a9f1935f5a653c352422375566ea ] Commit 16b269436b72 ("sched/deadline: Modify cpudl::free_cpus to reflect rd->online") introduced the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions to allow the cpu_dl::free_cpus mask to be manipulated by the deadline scheduler class rq_on/offline callbacks so the mask would also reflect this state. Commit 9659e1eeee28 ("sched/deadline: Remove cpu_active_mask from cpudl_find()") removed the check of the cpu_active_mask to save some processing on the premise that the cpudl::free_cpus mask already reflected the runqueue online state. Unfortunately, there are cases where it is possible for the cpudl_clear function to set the free_cpus bit for a CPU when the deadline runqueue is offline. When this occurs while a CPU is connected to the default root domain the flag may retain the bad state after the CPU has been unplugged. Later, a different CPU that is transitioning through the default root domain may push a deadline task to the powered down CPU when cpudl_find sees its free_cpus bit is set. If this happens the task will not have the opportunity to run. The dequeue_task member of the deadline scheduler class will eventually call cpudl_clear and set the free_cpus bit for the CPU. This commit modifies the cpudl_clear function to be aware of the online state of the deadline runqueue so that the free_cpus mask can be updated appropriately. It is no longer necessary to manage the mask outside of the cpudl_set/clear functions so the cpudl_set/clear_freecpu functions are removed. In addition, since the free_cpus mask is now only updated under the cpudl lock the code was changed to use the non-atomic __cpumask functions. [PATCH v12] Bluetooth: hci_qca: Fix SSR (SubSystem Restart) fail when BT_EN is pulled up by hw

On QCS9075 and QCA8275 platforms, the BT_EN pin is always pulled up by hw and cannot be controlled by the host. As a result, in case of a firmware crash, the host cannot trigger a cold reset. Instead, the BT controller performs a warm restart on its own, without reloading the firmware. This leads to the controller remaining in IBS_WAKE state, while the host expects it to be in sleep mode. The mismatch causes HCI reset commands to time out. Additionally, the driver does not clear internal flags QCA_SSR_TRIGGERED and QCA_IBS_DISABLED, which blocks the reset sequence. If the SSR duration exceeds 2 seconds, the host may enter TX sleep mode due to tx_idle_timeout, further preventing recovery. Also, memcoredump_flag is not cleared, so only the first SSR generates a coredump. Tell driver that BT controller has undergone a proper restart sequence: - Clear QCA_SSR_TRIGGERED and QCA_IBS_DISABLED flags after SSR. - Add a 50ms delay to allow the controller to complete its warm reset. - Reset tx_idle_timer to prevent the host from entering TX sleep mode. - Clear memcoredump_flag to allow multiple coredump captures. Apply these steps only when HCI_QUIRK_NON_PERSISTENT_SETUP is not set, which indicates that BT_EN is defined in DTS and cannot be toggled. Refer to the comment in include/net/bluetooth/hci.h for details on HCI_QUIRK_NON_PERSISTENT_SETUP.
