For the new installkernel application, as Davide says: <<The %post currently does a shuffling dance before calling installkernel. This isn't actually necessary afaict, and the current implementation ends up triggering downstream issues such as https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/29568 This commit simplifies the logic to remove the shuffling. For reference, the original logic was added in commit 3c9c7a14b627("rpm-pkg: add %post section to create initramfs and grub hooks").>> But we need to keep the old behavior as well, because the old installkernel application from grubby package, does not allow this simplification and we need to be backward compatible to avoid issues with the different packages. Mimic Fedora shipping process and store vmlinuz, config amd System.map in the module directory instead of the boot directory. In this way, we will avoid the commented problem for all the cases, because the new destination files are not going to exist in the boot directory of the kernel package. Replace installkernel tool with kernel-install tool, because the latter is more complete. Besides, after installkernel tool execution, check to complete if the correct package files vmlinuz, System.map and config files are present in /boot directory, and if necessary, copy manually for install operation. In this way, take into account if files were not previously copied from /usr/lib/kernel/install.d/* scripts and if the suitable files for the requested package are present (it could be others if the rpm files were replace with a new pacakge with the same release and a different build). [PATCH 1/2] drm/i915: Schedule the HPD poll init work on an unbound workqueue

Disabling HPD polling from i915_hpd_poll_init_work() involves probing all display connectors explicitly to account for lost hotplug interrupts. On some platforms (mostly pre-ICL) with HDMI connectors the I2C EDID bit-banging using udelay() triggers in turn the workqueue: i915_hpd_poll_init_work [i915] hogged CPU for >10000us 4 times, consider switching to WQ_UNBOUND warning. Fix the above by scheduling i915_hpd_poll_init_work() on a WQ_UNBOUND workqueue. It's ok to use a system WQ, since i915_hpd_poll_init_work() is properly flushed in intel_hpd_cancel_work(). The connector probing from drm_mode_config::output_poll_work resulting in the same warning is fixed by the next patch. [PATCH] Revert "ext4: apply umask if ACL support is disabled"

The commit caused a regression because now the umask was applied to symlinks and the fix is unnecessary because the umask/O_TMPFILE bug has been fixed somewhere else already. [PATCH v3] usb: gadget: ncm: Avoid dropping datagrams of properly parsed NTBs

It is observed sometimes when tethering is used over NCM with Windows 11 as host, at some instances, the gadget_giveback has one byte appended at the end of a proper NTB. When the NTB is parsed, unwrap call looks for any leftover bytes in SKB provided by u_ether and if there are any pending bytes, it treats them as a separate NTB and parses it. But in case the second NTB (as per unwrap call) is faulty/corrupt, all the datagrams that were parsed properly in the first NTB and saved in rx_list are dropped. [PATCH 0/2] usb: dwc3: Disable susphy during initialization

We notice some platforms set "snps,dis_u3_susphy_quirk" and "snps,dis_u2_susphy_quirk" when they should not need to. Just make sure that the GUSB3PIPECTL.SUSPENDENABLE and GUSB2PHYCFG.SUSPHY are clear during initialization. The host initialization involved xhci. So the dwc3 needs to implement the xhci_plat_priv->plat_start() for xhci to re-enable the suspend bits. Since there's a prerequisite patch to drivers/usb/host/xhci-plat.h that's not a fix patch, this series should go on Greg's usb-testing branch instead of usb-linus. The fact that nogbpages on the command line causes the same problem without my patch suggests it's not bad code directly in my patch, but something in the way kexec reacts to the resulting identity map. One quick solution would be a kernel command line parameter to select between the previous identity map creation behavior and the new behavior. E.g. in addition to "nogbpages", we could have "somegbpages" and "allgbpages" -- or gbpages=[all, some, none] with nogbpages a synonym for backwards compatibility. But I don't want to introduce a new command line parameter if the actual problem can be understood and fixed. [PATCH] drm/amd/display: Disable PSR-SU on Parade 08-01 TCON too

Stuart Hayhurst has found that both at bootup and fullscreen VA-API video is leading to black screens for around 1 second and kernel WARNING [1] traces when calling dmub_psr_enable() with Parade 08-01 TCON. These symptoms all go away with PSR-SU disabled for this TCON, so disable it for now while DMUB traces [2] from the failure can be analyzed and the failure state properly root caused. This reverts commit ad6bcdad2b6724e113f191a12f859a9e8456b26d. I had nak'd it, and Greg said on the thread that it links that he wasn't going to take it either, especially since it's not his code or his tree, but then, seemingly accidentally, it got pushed up some months later, in what looks like a mistake, with no further discussion in the linked thread. So revert it, since it's clearly not intended. [PATCH] Revert "f2fs: stop allocating pinned sections if EAGAIN happens"

This reverts commit 2e42b7f817acd6e8d78226445eb6fe44fe79c12a. If the GC victim section has a pinned block when fallocate() trigger FG_GC, the section is not able to be recycled. And this will return -EAGAIN cause fallocate() failed, even though there are much spare space as user see. As the GC policy prone to chose the same victim, fallocate() may not successed at a long period. This scenario has been found during Android OTA. [PATCH 1/3] drm/amdgpu: Forward soft recovery errors to userspace

[PATCH] usb: gadget: u_serial: Add null pointer checks after RX/TX submission

Commit ffd603f21423 ("usb: gadget: u_serial: Add null pointer check in gs_start_io") adds null pointer checks to gs_start_io(), but it doesn't fully fix the potential null pointer dereference issue. While gserial_connect() calls gs_start_io() with port_lock held, gs_start_rx() and gs_start_tx() release the lock during endpoint request submission. This creates a window where gs_close() could set port->port_tty to NULL, leading to a dereference when the lock is reacquired. This patch adds a null pointer check for port->port_tty after RX/TX submission, and removes the initial null pointer check in gs_start_io() since the caller must hold port_lock and guarantee non-null values for port_usb and port_tty.
