As mentioned in:
commit 474ed23a6257 ("xhci: align the last trb before link if it is
easily splittable.")
A bounce buffer is utilized for ensuring that transfers that span across
ring segments are aligned to the EP's max packet size. However, the device
that is used to map the DMA buffer to is currently using the XHCI HCD,
which does not carry any DMA operations in certain configrations.
Migration to using the sysdev entry was introduced for DWC3 based
implementations where the IOMMU operations are present.
Replace the reference to the controller device to sysdev instead. This
allows the bounce buffer to be properly mapped to any implementations that
have an IOMMU involved.

Subject: [PATCH] io_uring: break iopolling on signal
Don't keep spinning iopoll with a signal set. It'll eventually return
back, e.g. by virtue of need_resched(), but it's not a nice user
experience.

I have an AM3517-EVM board that I am trying to use the latest 6.1.y
stable, currently 6.1.51.
With git bisect, I narrowed the regression between 6.1.15 and 6.1.16 to commit
eaf9b5612a47 ("driver core: fw_devlink: Don't purge child fwnode's
consumer links")
In the regression, 48002000.scm appears as not ready. This affects a
variety of dependent peripherals making them unavailable:
wl12xx_buf platform: supplier 48002000.scm not ready
wl12xx_vmmc2 platform: supplier wl12xx_buf not ready
48050000.dss platform: supplier display@0 not ready
48064800.ehci platform: supplier hsusb1_phy not ready
backlight platform: supplier 48002000.scm not ready
display@0 platform: supplier backlight not ready
dmtimer-pwm@11 platform: supplier 48002000.scm not ready
hsusb1_phy platform: supplier 48002000.scm not ready
gpio-leds platform: supplier 48002000.scm not ready
480b4000.mmc platform: supplier wl12xx_vmmc2 not ready
If I build 6.1.51 but I checkout drivers/base/core.c from commit
2455b81afe68 ("driver core: fw_devlink: Add DL_FLAG_CYCLE support to
device links"),
the regression is gone.
I checked the 6.5 kernel, and it appears fine, so I think there is a
possible backport commit missing, and I was hoping Saravana or Tony
might have a suggestion as to which one(s) I should try. I don't know
if this is found on other OMAP3 boards, but I wouldn't be surprised.

This reverts commit b5c75b68b7ded84d4c82118974ce3975a4dcaa74.
The commit makes it impossible to select configuration options that
depend on COMEDI_8254, COMEDI_DAS08, COMEDI_NI_LABPC, or
COMEDI_AMPLC_DIO200 options due to changing 'select' directives to
'depends on' directives and there being no other way to select those
codependent configuration options.

Hi there, hello,
I noticed that v6.5.2 already has patches that are not passed to v6.4.y, but it's still not merged into `rolling-stable`. Do you not merge 6.5.y until 6.4.15 comes to its EOL? Or haven't pushed the merge?

Hi,
This is v3 of a patchset to set the number of cache leaves independently
for each CPU. v1 and v2 can be found here [1] and here [2].
Changes since v2:
* This version uncovered a NULL-pointer dereference in recent changes to
cacheinfo[3]. This dereference is observed when the system does not
configure cacheinfo early during boot nor makes corrections later
during CPU hotplug; as is the case in x86. Patch 1 fixes this issue.
Changes since v1:
* Dave Hansen suggested to use the existing per-CPU ci_cpu_cacheinfo
variable. Now the global variable num_cache_leaves became useless.
* While here, I noticed that init_cache_level() also became useless:
x86 does not need ci_cpu_cacheinfo::num_levels.

cacheinfo: Allocate memory for memory if not done from the primary CPU
x86/cacheinfo: Delete global num_cache_leaves
x86/cacheinfo: Clean out init_cache_level()

Hi,
I notice a regression report on Bugzilla [1]. Quoting from it:
> I bought a new 4 TB Lexar NM790 and I was using kernel 6.3.13 at the time. It wasn't recognized, with these messages in dmesg:
>
> [ 358.950147] nvme nvme0: pci function 0000:06:00.0
> [ 358.958327] nvme nvme0: Device not ready; aborting initialisation, CSTS=0x0
>
> My other NVMe appears correctly in the nvme list though.
>
>
> So I tried using other kernels I had installed at the time: 6.3.7, 6.4.10, 6.5.0rc6, 6.5.0, 6.5.1 and none of these recognized the disk.
> I installed the 6.1.50 lts kernel from arch repositories (I can compile my own too if this would be an issue) and then the device was correctly recognized:
>
> [ 4.654613] nvme 0000:06:00.0: platform quirk: setting simple suspend
> [ 4.654632] nvme nvme0: pci function 0000:06:00.0

> [ 4.709473] nvme nvme0: 16/0/0 default/read/poll queues

See Bugzilla for the full thread and proposed quirk fix.
Anyway, I'm adding this regression to be tracked by regzbot:
#regzbot introduced: v6.1.50..v6.3.13 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217863
#regzbot link: https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/15xbxeo/nvme_device_not_ready_a…
Thanks.
