[PATCH 6.5.y] drm/virtio: Conditionally allocate virtio_gpu_fence

From: Gurchetan Singh <gurchetansingh(a)chromium.org> We don't want to create a fence for every command submission. It's only necessary when userspace provides a waitable token for submission. This could be: 1) bo_handles, to be used with VIRTGPU_WAIT 2) out_fence_fd, to be used with dma_fence apis 3) a ring_idx provided with VIRTGPU_CONTEXT_PARAM_POLL_RINGS_MASK + DRM event API 4) syncobjs in the future The use case for just submitting a command to the host, and expecting no response. For example, gfxstream has GFXSTREAM_CONTEXT_PING that just wakes up the host side worker threads. There's also CROSS_DOMAIN_CMD_SEND which just sends data to the Wayland server. This prevents the need to signal the automatically created virtio_gpu_fence. In addition, VIRTGPU_EXECBUF_RING_IDX is checked when creating a DRM event object. VIRTGPU_CONTEXT_PARAM_POLL_RINGS_MASK is already defined in terms of per-context rings. It was theoretically possible to create a DRM event on the global timeline (ring_idx == 0), if the context enabled DRM event polling. However, that wouldn't work and userspace (Sommelier). Explicitly disallow it for clarity. [PATCH] usb: xhci: xhci-ring: Use sysdev for mapping bounce buffer

As mentioned in: commit 474ed23a6257 ("xhci: align the last trb before link if it is easily splittable.") A bounce buffer is utilized for ensuring that transfers that span across ring segments are aligned to the EP's max packet size. However, the device that is used to map the DMA buffer to is currently using the XHCI HCD, which does not carry any DMA operations in certain configrations. Migration to using the sysdev entry was introduced for DWC3 based implementations where the IOMMU operations are present. Replace the reference to the controller device to sysdev instead. 6.1.y Regression found on AM3517

I have an AM3517-EVM board that I am trying to use the latest 6.1.y stable, currently 6.1.51. With git bisect, I narrowed the regression between 6.1.15 and 6.1.16 to commit eaf9b5612a47 ("driver core: fw_devlink: Don't purge child fwnode's consumer links") In the regression, 48002000.scm appears as not ready. I checked the 6.5 kernel, and it appears fine, so I think there is a possible backport commit missing, and I was hoping Saravana or Tony might have a suggestion as to which one(s) I should try. [PATCH] Revert "comedi: add HAS_IOPORT dependencies"

This reverts commit b5c75b68b7ded84d4c82118974ce3975a4dcaa74. The commit makes it impossible to select configuration options that depend on COMEDI_8254, COMEDI_DAS08, COMEDI_NI_LABPC, or COMEDI_AMPLC_DIO200 options due to changing 'select' directives to 'depends on' directives and there being no other way to select those codependent configuration options. [PATCH v3 0/3] x86/cacheinfo: Set the number of leaves per CPU

Hi, This is v3 of a patchset to set the number of cache leaves independently for each CPU. v1 and v2 can be found here [1] and here [2]. Changes since v2: * This version uncovered a NULL-pointer dereference in recent changes to cacheinfo[3]. This dereference is observed when the system does not configure cacheinfo early during boot nor makes corrections later during CPU hotplug; as is the case in x86. Patch 1 fixes this issue. Changes since v1: * Dave Hansen suggested to use the existing per-CPU ci_cpu_cacheinfo variable. Now the global variable num_cache_leaves became useless. * While here, I noticed that init_cache_level() also became useless: x86 does not need ci_cpu_cacheinfo::num_levels.
