Subject: media: ir_toy: prevent device from hanging during transmit
Author: Sean Young <sean(a)mess.org>
Date: Tue Sep 14 16:57:46 2021 +0200
If the IR Toy is receiving IR while a transmit is done, it may end up
hanging. We can prevent this from happening by re-entering sample mode
just before issuing the transmit command.

net: qrtr: revert check in qrtr_endpoint_post()
d2cabd2dc8da78faf9b690ea521d03776686c9fe
<https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?…>
Applied to 5.14 if possible - Have tested it locally, and it applies
without any issues.
The reason for the request is that 5.14.4 had net: qrtr: make checks in
qrtr_endpoint_post() stricter applied, and this breaks qrtr on at least
my Lenovo Yoga C630 which means that it no longer has working wifi
without the patch above. I thought it had already been requested, but
there have been 3 point releases of 5.14 since the break and it doesn't
look like it's queued up anywhere.
Apologies if I did this incorrectly, I'm trying to follow Option 2 in
stable-kernel-rules since it doesn't appear to have been CC'd on the
initial patch.
The patch below does not apply to the 5.14-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit
id to <stable(a)vger.kernel.org>.
thanks,
greg k-h

Subject: [PATCH] io_uring: allow retry for O_NONBLOCK if async is supported
A common complaint is that using O_NONBLOCK files with io_uring can be a
bit of a pain. Be a bit nicer and allow normal retry IFF the file does
support async behavior. This makes it possible to use io_uring more
reliably with O_NONBLOCK files, for use cases where it either isn't
possible or feasible to modify the file flags.
