Putting a "_common" struct here is the opposite of the pattern than what KVM uses for struct kvm and struct kvm_vcpu. What are your thoughts on inverting it so the common stats go in struct kvm_{vcpu,vm}_stat and the arch-specific stats go in a arch-specific struct kvm_{vcpu,vm}_stat_arch?
I imagine this may result in more churn in this patch since there are more arch-specific stats than there are common stats, but would result in a more consistent struct layout.
