Hi all,
I'd like to run the binutils testsuite in a native configuration regularly to find any regressions. Do we have any infrastructure for doing this?
It's LAVA.
It looks like LAVA would be useful but it looks complex and I am not sure if we use that already for running toolchain tests (I think there was a Connect session about that?).
We use CBuild for the tests and planned to move to LAVA in the long term.
cc'ed Antonio and Paul. They'll give your more inputs on LAVA/CBuild set up and how you can run binutils testsuite using our infrastructure.
In a nutshell, if you submit a LAVA job that uses lava-test-shell to LAVA, then you can run whatever code you want in the chosen device. Paul has been experimenting with this to do native builds, and you can use it to run the binutils test suite as well.
A good start is checking Paul's test definition for building gcc natively: http://validation.linaro.org/lava-server/scheduler/job/50143/definition
