Hello all, Unfortunately Jenkins requires a restart due to a the Gerrit plugin bug. Currently the server is in shutdown mode, I've had to clear some jobs that are blocking the shutdown. Jenkins should be back to normal within the next hour. Sorry for the inconvenience. Ben

aus-colo / US Developer Cloud maintenance this weekend

I will be deploying new redundant power strips inside the Austin Colo on Saturday, July 15. The window will begin around 8PM Central time. It should take less than 2 hours to complete. The most noticeable disruption will be the power cycling of our main router which will take about 10 minutes for it to reboot. During this time, all systems in the colo will be on, but won't be reachable externally. I'll then be updating each network switch. Each one will knock off a different set of users during the time it takes to reboot (a couple of minutes at most). Finally I'll be rebooting a few infrastructure servers. The only noticeable one of this list will be the US Developer Cloud's primary network node. During this reboot all systems will lose internal and external access to the Internet.

First Ubuntu Artful Aardvark test rebuilds (and upcoming GCC 7 transition)

The first test rebuild of Artful Aardvark was started on July 6 for all architectures, all components (main component and seeded packages finished, unseeded packages still building). For arm64 and armhf the gcc-6 packages are based on the Linaro 6-2017.06 snapshot. Results (please also look at the superseded builds) can be found at http://qa.ubuntuwire.org/ftbfs/rebuilds/test-rebuild-20170706-artful.html The test rebuild uses binutils, gcc-6, gcc-7 and linux packages currently still in the proposed release pocket, which can also be found separately in the PPA https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-toolchain-r/+archive/ubuntu/ppa Additional build failures for packages in artful-proposed (not yet in artful) can be found at http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/ftbfs/ Please help fixing the build failures. ci.linaro.org maintenance

Hello All, To let you know, we have a maintenance window on the 7th July. We have to shutdown Jenkins to deploy a couple of bugs fixes, plugins and new LTS version. Maintenance will between 09:00 - 12:00 UTC. The server will be put into Shutdown mode, so not jobs will be accepted, from the 6th evening. Around 22:00 UTC. Regards Ben

aus-colo / developer cloud outage

A big thunderstorm hit Austin this evening and at 9:04PM local time we lost power to several of our most important infrastructure servers in the lab. Most everything seems to have booted back up on its own. However, 2 of the 3 servers providing Ceph storage to the DeveloperCloud failed to boot back up on their own. Every VM in the DeveloperCloud is backed by Ceph so this has caused quite a bit of havoc. Additionally the main network node providing external access to the cloud failed to boot back up properly. I currently have the Ceph cluster recovering. However, its looking like it could be a couple hours until it decides all its data is in the proper state and can be used for write access. The network node is still giving me lots of trouble. I'll give an update once I have more information.

Linaro Git Servers in read-only mode

An upgrade over the weekend has broken a user authentication script needed for git+ssh operations. Ben and I are looking into it now, but git-push operations (and most anything on dev-private-git) will be blocked until we can resolve the issue.

[ANN] ci.linaro.org migration on the 06/04/2017

Hello All, After much work, we are moving ci.linaro.org out of AWS and over to bare metal server. The bare metal server will be much faster, along with allowing us to maintain it more easily since Jenkins has been built on docker. The work is planned for Thursday, 06/04/2017 downtime will be during 09:00-16:00 UTC. Work should be completed quite quickly, but a lengthy window is in place just in case of any unforeseen issues. Connecting x86 device to new LAVA instance
